Are you looking for medical treatment in a German university full-service acute care hospital? Our International Patient Office (IPO) will gladly tell you all about our competencies and procedures. Our IPO staff aims to make your stay as simple as possible. They will support you and your family with everything from helping you to find the right clinic and consultant physicians or arranging your first appointment right through to your examination and treatment.

About the International Patient Office

We are aware that the thought of a hospital stay can sometimes be unsettling and distressing - especially in a foreign country. We try to help you with all your concerns in our International Patient Office.

The International Patient Office welcomes patients from all over the world and assists with requests for medical treatment. Our staff supports patients and their families with administrative questions. We also find qualified interpreters if there are any communication problems.

Procedure

To enable us to handle your request as quickly as possible, please hand in precise and up-to-date medical information in advance. “Up-to-date" means that your documents should not be older than two or three months.

Please send the following documents

(if possible in German or English)

Obligatory:

  • description of your medical condition and the reason for your request
  • up-to-date medical report in German or English

If available:

  • recent laboratory reports
  • radiology reports in German or English
  • surgery report (if surgery performed)
  • histology report (if biopsy performed)

How to send your documents

It is possible to send the documents via e-mail, fax or post. If you want to include graphic material, please send the pictures as JPG-files or on CD-ROM.
